Also known as white ant hillock, Haflong in Assam is situated 310 km from Guwahati. Haflong Lake is one of the largest natural water bodies in Assam and is situated in the heart of the town. It is also Haflong’s most popular tourist spot. Jatinga is another famous tourist spot located located on a spur of the Haflong ridge which is famous for the phenomenon of bird suicides. Accommodation options are limited in Haflong and range from budget to medium range hotels along with Assam Tourism’s Tourist Lodge. Silchar offers better options, but camping in Haflong is an heavenly experience for sure.
