Jennifer Shrader Lawrence is an American actress who works in the film and television industries. She began her acting career in the year 2006 with a minor role in the television film Company Town, which she followed with guest roles in several television shows. She then made her film debut in 2008 with the movie Garden Party.
Jennifer, who has, among many awards, won an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, Critics' Choice Movie Awards, and a Golden Globe Awards, has starred in over 20 movies. In 2008 alone, she starred in Garden Party, The Poker House, and The Burning Plain. The latter earned her the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Emerging Actress at the Venice Film Festival.
2010 TO 2012:
Her breakthrough role came in 2010 in the small-scale drama Winter's Bone, which earned her the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and the National Board of Review Award for Breakthrough Performance. It was also her first nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress, making her the second-youngest person to be nominated in the category. Jennifer then starred in Like Crazy (2011), The Beaver (2011), X-Men: First Class (2011), The Hunger Games (2012), Silver Linings Playbook (2012), and House at the End of the Street (2012).
Jennifer won many awards for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, among them an Academy Award, a Critics' Choice Movie Award, and a Golden Globe Award. She also won a Critics' Choice Movie Award, an Empire Award, and others for her role in The Hunger Games.
2013 TO 2019:
In 2013, Jennifer starred in The Devil You Know, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and American Hustle. She followed them with X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), Serena (2014), The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 (2014), Dior and I (2015), The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 (2015), Joy (2015), A Beautiful Planet (2016), X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), Passengers (2016), Mother! (2017), Red Sparrow (2018), and Dark Phoenix (2019). She will next be seen in a yet to be titled Lila Neugebauer project.

Where television is concerned, she has featured in Monk (2006), Cold Case (2007), Medium (2007-2008), The Bill Engvall Show (2007-2009), Saturday Night Live (Host-2013), and Jimmy Kimmel Live! (Host-2017).
PERSONAL LIFE:
Jennifer Shrader Lawrence was born on August 15, 1990 in Indian Hills, Kentucky to Gary and Karen, and she has two older brothers. She was educated at the Kammerer Middle School in Louisville but dropped out of school at the age of 14 without receiving a GED or a diploma. She is married to Cooke Maroney, an art gallery director.
OTHERS:
Jennifer is an outspoken feminist and has advocated for Planned Parenthood. In 2015, she founded the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation, which has advocated for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Special Olympics. She formed the production company Excellent Cadaver in 2018.
