Annette Leslie Jones or Leslie Jones, as she is popularly known, is an American comedian and actress who has featured in a number of Hollywood movies and television shows. She made her movie debut in 1999 and television debut in 1996, but both roles were uncredited.
Leslie, who was also a cast member and writer on Saturday Night Live, had started doing stand-up comedy while in college in 1987. When she won the Funniest Person on Campus contest, she left school and moved to Los Angeles where she performed at clubs while working at Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles to make ends meet.
TELEVISION:
In 1996, Leslie was featured in the episode Hoop Screams from the American sitcom In the House, which was uncredited, and in 1997 in Coach, again uncredited. In 2001–2002, she had various roles in The Way We Do It, and in 2004, she featured in the episode Love, Peace and Hair Grease from the sitcom Girlfriends and was credited as Leslie.

She has been signed up to host American television game show Supermarket Sweep.
MOVIES:
In 2003, Leslie starred in comedy film National Security, in 2006 in Repos, in 2007 in mockumentary film Gangsta Rap: The Glockumentary. The other movies she has featured in are Internet Dating (2008), Something Like a Business (2010), Lottery Ticket (2010), The Company We Keep (2010), House Arrest (2012), Christmas in Compton (2012), Top Five (2014), Kony Montana (2014), We Are Family (2015), and Trainwreck (2015).
Leslie enjoyed a starring role as part of the all-female cast of the 2016 remake of Ghostbusters, which also starred Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Chris Hemsworth. The same year she had a voice role in the computer-animated jukebox musical comedy Sing, and she followed it with comedy film Masterminds. In 2019, she was the voice of Zeta in computer-animated film The Angry Birds Movie 2, and she will in 2020 be seen in Coming 2 America.
PERSONAL LIFE:
Annette Leslie Jones was born on September 7, 1967 in Memphis, Tennessee and her family moved frequently as her father was in the United States Army. She attended high school in Lynwood, California and then Chapman University on a basketball scholarship. She transferred to Colorado State University after her coach left Chapman for Colorado and ended up majoring in communications.
