Neha Dhupia is an Indian actress who works in the Hindi, Punjabi, Telugu and Malayalam film industry. Her first on-screen appearance was in Malayalam movie Minnaram as a child artist, and her Bollywood debut in movie Qayamat: City Under Threat. She was no stranger to acting, as she was a stage actress before hitting the big screen, with her first play being in New Delhi, titled Graffiti.
In 2000, Neha starred in Japanese movie Nattu Odoru! Ninja Densetsu, and in 2003 she made a special appearance in Telegu film Ninne Ishtapaddanu, followed by Qayamat: City Under Threat, Miss India: The Mystery, and in Telegu film Villain.
2004 TO 2008:
Neha has starred in a good number of movies, namely, Julie (2004), Rakht (2004-Special Appearance), Siskiyaan (2005), Sheesha (2005), Kyaa Kool Hai Hum (2005), Garam Masala (2005), Fight Club – Members Only (2006-Special Appearance), Teesri Aankh: The Hidden Camera (2006), Chup Chup Ke (2006), Utthaan (2006), Delhii Heights (2007), Ek Chalis Ki Last Local (2007), Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007), Heyy Babyy (2007-Special Appearance in a Song), Dus Kahaniyaan (2007), Rama Rama Kya Hai Drama (2008), Mithya (2008), Kabhi Pyar Na Karna (2008-Pakistani), De Taali (2008-Special Appearance), Singh Is Kinng (2008), Dasvidaniya (2008), and Maharathi (2008).
2009 TO 2018:
In 2009, she starred in Paying Guests, Bollywood Hero (Indian-American miniseries), De Dana Dan, and Raat Gayi Baat Gayi?. The following year she acted in Action Replayy, and Phas Gaye Re Obama. In 2011, she starred in 3 movies, namely, Parama Veera Chakra (Telegu), Dear Friend Hitler, and Pappu Can't Dance Saala. She followed the three with Maximum (2012), I M 24 (2012), Kismet Love Paisa Dilli (2012), Rush (2012), Rangeelay (2013-Punjabi), Double Di Trouble (2014-Special Appearance in Song Lak Tunu Tunu), Ungli (2014), Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami (2014), Santa Banta Pvt Ltd (2016), Moh Maya Money (2016), Hindi Medium (2017), Tumhari Sulu (2017), Qarib Qarib Singlle (2017-Cameo), Lust Stories (2018), and Helicopter Eela (2008).
PERSONAL LIFE:
Neha Dhupia was born on August 27, 1980 in Kochi, Kerala to Commander Pradip Singh Dhupia, who served in the Indian Navy, and Manpinder, and she has one brother. She did her schooling at the Naval Public School in Kochi and then shifted to Delhi, where she finished her graduation with honours in History from Jesus and Mary College. She is married to actor Angad Bedi and has a daughter with him.
BEAUTY PAGEANTS:
Neha participated in the Femina Miss India pageant in 2002 and was crowned Miss Universe India 2002. She subsequently contested in the Miss Universe 2002 pageant in Puerto Rico where she placed in the top 10.
