Shreya Ghoshal is an Indian playback singer who sings in Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Assamese, Nepali, Oriya, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Tulu languages. Her career began when she won the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contest as an adult in 2000, and from then on she has featured on various television shows. She is also an award-winning artist with four National Film Awards, seven Filmfare Awards, 9 Filmfare Awards South, and four Guild Awards among many others.
Shreya began her Bollywood playback singing career in 2002 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas, for which she won the 48th Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback and the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent. The other awards she won are the 50th National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for Bairi Piya, the International Indian Film Academy Award for Best Female Playback, Zee Cine Award for Best Playback Singer – Female, and the Stardust Award for New Musical Sensation – Female for the song Dola Re Dola.
TELEVISION:
In 2002, Shreya contested in Sa Re Ga Ma and came out the winner, and then in 2007, she served as a judge on television singing competition STAR Voice of India. Some of the television shows she has featured in are Music Ka Maha Muqqabla (Contestant-2009), X Factor India (Judge-2011), Indian Idol Junior (Judge-2013), Project Resound (2013), Kismat Se (2014), MTV Unplugged (2016), Gulzar in conversation with Tagore (2017) and many others.

PERSONAL LIFE:
Shreya Ghoshal was born on March 12, 1984 in Murshidabad, West Bengal to Bishwajit Ghoshal and Sarmistha Ghoshal, and she has one brother. She studied up to eighth grade at the Atomic Energy Central School in Rawatbhata, Rajasthan, and graduated from the SIES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce in Mumbai. She is married to her childhood friend Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya.
