Sonu Kakkar is an Indian playback singer who works not only in the Hindi music industry but also Punjabi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Malayam and Nepali. She made her singing debut in 2003 with the songs Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo and Babuji Zara from the movie Dum, which she sang along with Sukhwinder Singh.
Sonu, who started singing jagrans at the age of five after her family shifted to New Delhi, came to the notice of Bollywood music director Sandeep Chowta when he heard her singing at a competition on channel V called Indian Pop Star. After shifting to Mumbai and after making her debut, the same year she sang the song Seduction Saavariya from the movie Boom along with Sunitha Sarathy.
HINDI SONGS:
With her singing career taking off, Sonu in 2004 sang Ishq Da Tadka with Adnan Sami for the movie Naach, and followed it with Honey Moon from the movie Kis Kis Ki Kismat. The latter she sang with Sonu Nigam. In 2005, she sang Kar Mundiya from the movie Sheesha, and in 2006, Sayonee from the movie Sandwich, O Sikander — Desi Mix from Corporate, Ghoonghat Na Khol from Iqraar by Chance, and Khatiya Toot Gayee from movie Jigyaasa.
2007 TO 2010:
In 2007, Sonu worked in the movies Risk for Hitchki, Delhii Heights for Ey Gori (Holi), and Bombay to Goa for Lawani. In 2008 in Mukhbiir for Jeena and Piya Mera Banjaara, and in 2009 in Toss for Abe Saale, Blue for Blue theme, Jail for Bareilly Ke Bazzar Mein, and Meri Har Ada Ke Charche for Ek Se Bure Do. In 2010 in movie Nakshatra for song of the same name, and in Mittal v/s Mittal for Aao Seene Se Lag Ke (Lounge Version).
2011 TO 2014:
Sonu's next was for 2011 movie No One Killed Jessica in which she sang the song Aali Re with a number of other singers. She followed it with Yeh Joker from the 2012 movie Joker, and Yeh Kasoor Mera Hai from the movie Jism 2. In 2013, she sang Hip Hip Hurrah from the movie Mere Dad Ki Maruti, and Boss Entry – Theme from the movie Boss, followed by London Thumakda from the 2014 movie Queen, Ishq Barsa Re from Life Mein Twist Hai, and Banjaran from Babloo Happy Hai.
2015 TO 2019:
In 2015, Sonu sang Foreign Balamwa from the movie Margarita with a Straw, and Ding Dong from Guddu Ki Gun. In 2016, she sang Khara Khara, Kya Kasak, and Dil Ashkon Mein from the movie Fever, and in 2017, Bhaag Milky Bhaag from the movie Running Shaadi. In 2018 she sang Chuski from the movie Jack and Dil, and in 2019, Phir Teri Bahon Mein from the movie Cabaret.
KANNADA SONGS:
From 2004 to 2012 she worked in 6 films, namely, Ranga SSLC (Song-Oora Kannu), Jogi (Song-Bin Ladennu Nan Maava), Nammanna (Song-Mavayya), Bindass (Song-Kallu Mama), Shivamani (Song-Rama Rama), Shankar IPS (Song-Sale Sale), and Godfather (Song-Deepavali).
TELUGU SONGS:

In 2009, Sonu sang the song Mastani Jwanit Mazya in the movie Nau Mahine Nau Diwas, followed by Kacchi Kairi Hu from 2014 movie Pune Via Bihar, and Chuklya Wata from 2017 movie Karaar.
MALAYALAM SONGS:
Sonu sang two songs, Dil Lena and Meine To, in 2013 movie Kalimannu.
PUNJABI SONGS:
From 2009 to 2019, Sonu worked in 10 movies, namely, Jag Jeondeyan De Mele (Song-Gustakh Akhan), I Am Singh (Song-Channd Paregge), Jatt Airways (Song-Ok Report), Young Malang (Song-Lakk Ch Current), Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad (Song-Lakk Gadvi Varga), Pinky Moge Wali (Song-Tadka), Yoddha (Song-Reshma), Gun & Goal (Song-Ghatta Ghatt Kar Ke), Kande (Songs-Thumka and Tere Naal), and Kala Shah Kala (Song-Boliyaan).

In 2014, Sonu sang the song Salaam Lijiye Kabool Kijiye from the movie Kohinoor.
PERSONAL LIFE:
Sonu Kakkar was born on October 20 in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand to Rishikesh Kakkar and Niti Kakkar, and she has one sister and one brother, who are both singers. She is married to Neeraj Sharma.
