Tamanna Bhatia, who is known professionally as Tamannaah, is an Indian actress who works predominantly in the Tamil and Telegu film industries. She made her acting debut at the age of 15 in 2005 with Hindi movie Chand Sa Roshan Chehra, followed by Telegu movie Sri the same year, and then Tamil movie Kedi in 2006.
Tamannaah, who has been featured in over 60 movies, has also made an appearance on reality television shows, and in music videos. She is a recipient of a good number of awards and is the first Indian actress to earn a nomination at the Saturn Awards for Best Supporting Actress.
FILMS:
There was never a year when Tamannaah did not feature in more than one film, and starting from 2007 she starred in Viyabari (Tamil), Happy Days (Telegu), and Kalloori (Tamil). In 2008, she featured in Kalidasu (Telegu), Ready (Cameo-Telegu), Ninna Nedu Repu (Cameo-Telegu), and Netru Indru Naalai (Cameo-Tamil). She starred in five movies in 2009, namely, Padikkadavan (Tamil), Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam (Telegu), Ayan (Tamil), Ananda Thandavam (Tamil), and Kanden Kadhalai (Tamil).
2010 TO 2013:
From 2010 onwards, Tamannah starred in Paiyaa (Tamil), Sura (Tamil), Thillalangadi (Tamil), from 2011 in Siruthai (Tamil), Ko (Cameo-Tamil), 100% Love (Telegu), Badrinath (Telegu), Venghai (Tamil), Oosaravelli (Telegu). In 2012 she starred in Racha (Telegu), Endukante... Premanta! (Telegu), Rebel (Telegu), and Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu (Telegu), and in 2013 in Himmatwala (Hindi), and Tadakha (Telegu).
2014 TO 2015:
In 2014, Tamannah featured in Veeram (Tamil), Humshakals (Hindi), Alludu Seenu (Special Appearance-Telegu), Entertainment (Hindi), and Aagadu (Telegu), and in 2015, she starred and had cameo roles in movies Nannbenda (Cameo-Tamil), Baahubali: The Beginning (Telegu-Tamil), Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga (Tamil), Size Zero (Cameo-Telegu), Inji Iduppazhagi (Cameo-Tamil), and Bengal Tiger (Telegu).
2016 TO 2017:
In the year 2016, Tamannah featured in seven movies, namely, Speedunnodu (Special Appearance-Telegu), Oopiri (Telegu), Thozha (Tamil), Dharma Durai (Tamil), Jaguar (Kannada Debut-Item Number-Telegu), Devi (Tamil-Telegu-Hindi), and Kaththi Sandai (Tamil). In 2017, she starred in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Telegu-Tamil), Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan (Tamil), and made a special appearance in the song Swing Zara in the Telegu movie Jai Lava Kusa.
2018 TO 2020:
After a successful year, Tamannah then starred in Sketch (2018-Tamil), Aa Bb Kk (Cameo-Marathi-2018), Naa... Nuvve (2018-Telegu), Next Enti? (2018-Telegu), K.G.F: Chapter 1 (Special Appearance-Kannada-2018), F2 – Fun and Frustration (2019-Telegu), Kanne Kalaimaane (2019-Tamil), Devi 2 (Tamil-Telegu), Khamoshi (2019-Hindi), Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019-Telegu), and Petromax (2019-Tamil).
Tamannah will next be seen in Action (Tamil), Bole Chudiyan (Hindi-2020), Sarileru Neekevvaru (2020-Special Appearance), and That Is Mahalakshmi (2020-Telegu).
PERSONAL LIFE:
Tamanna Bhatia was born on December 21, 1989 in Bombay, Maharashtra to Santhosh and Rajani Bhatia, and she has one brother. She did her schooling at the Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School in Mumbai, and her BA (Distance Learning) from National College, Mumbai. She had changed her name from Tamanna to Tamannaah after she consulted with a numerologist.
