In the latest video, Anju, with Nasrullah sitting beside her, says that she’s not a traitor and some sections of the media have spread lies about her. “The media has spread lies and rumors about me. Anju celebrates Pakistan’s Independence Day

Recently, the 34-year-old mother of two who left her husband and kids back home in India’s Rajasthan and travelled to Pakistan to be with her 29-year-old lover, was seen celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day.

In a video shared on Twitter, Anju is seen at party along with Nasrullah where they cut the cake on the occasion of Pakistan’s Yom-e-Azadi (Independence Day).

Visa extended by one year

Meanwhile, last week, Pakistan extended Anju’s visa by one year, allowing her to stay in the country. Anju – who now goes by the name of Fatima after converting to Islam – on July 25 married her 29-year-old friend Nasrullah, whose home is in the Upper Dir district in the province. They became friends on Facebook in 2019.

On Tuesday, Nasrullah said that Anju’s visa, which was earlier extended for 2 months, has now been extended for a year after their marriage. Her original one-month visa was set to expire on August 20.

“The visa of my wife Anju has been extended for a year after the provision of related documents to the Interior Ministry,” said Nasrullah, adding that  “All Pakistani institutions are cooperating with us.”

Last month, a real estate company gifted the couple a plot of land in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and presented them with a cheque.

Anju’s story

Anju, who was born in Kailor village in Uttar Pradesh and lived in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, travelled to Pakistan legally from India via the Wagah-Attari border. She was granted a 30-day visa, valid for Upper Dir only.

Anju is married to Arvind, who is in Rajasthan. They have a 15-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son.

Arvind has filed an FIR against his runaway wife and her Pakistani lover in Alwar district of Rajasthan.

According to the police, based on a complaint by Arvind, a case was registered at the Phoolbagh police station under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 366 (inducing women for marriage), 494 (second marriage without divorce), 500 (defamation) and 506 (criminal Intimidation), besides provisions of the IT Act, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bhiwadi, Sujit Shankar told news agency PTI.

Anju’s story shares eerie similarities with that of Seema Haider, a Pakistani mother of four who recently entered illegally into India via Nepal along with her four kids to marry Sachin Meena, a 22-year-old Uttar Pradesh resident she befriended and fell in love with while playing popular online shooter PUBG.

As per reports, the Sujan Ahirwar sells chickens in villages on his motorcycle . On the the day of the incident, he was on his travelling to some village in connection with his work when he halted by a group of men who asked for a chicken. The victim asked them to pay for it, however, the men, allegedly drunk at the time, assaulted him with slippers for demanding payment.

An onlooker filmed the incident on his mobile phone camera and the 10-second clip has now gone viral on social media sites. Taking cognizance of the incident, police said they have registered a case against the attacker under sections of the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

A flurry of atrocities against Dalits

Atrocities against the Dalit community have seen a sharp spike in recent time.

Last month, a disturbing incident came to the fore from Giridih district of Jharkhand where a Dalit woman accused of having an extra-marital affair, was reportedly stripped naked, tied to a tree and viciously beaten by villagers. According the police, the 26-year-old victim remained tied to the tree for the entire night before being rescued by the cops who later took her to a hospital.

Police said the horrifying incident took place in a village under the Saria police station area, about 170 km from the state capital Ranchi, adding that four people, including two young men, have been arrested in connection with the alleged assault.

In her complaint to the police, the woman stated that she received a call at around 11 PM on the fateful night, asking her to come out of the house. However, when she came out of her home, two youths standing outside her house forcefully made her sit on a motorcycle and took her one kilometre away, where she was stripped, thrashed, and tied to the tree, IANS reported.

Earlier in July, the infamous Sidhi urination incident took place in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district wherein a video showed a man urinating on a tribal youth. The disturbing act triggered national outrage.

The accused, Pravesh Shukla, was arrested and booked under provisions of the stringent National Security Act, and his family’s house was also demolished.

Giving details, a senior officer said the boy, a resident of a village in the district, sed to work at a street food shop and often visited the the shop owner’s house. On one occasion, he found the owner’s wife take a bath in her house and secretly filmed her.

“The minor then started blackmailing her to have an illicit relationship with him by threatening to upload the video on social media,” Station House Officer (Koirauna) Pradeep Kumar told news agency PTI. However, the woman narrated the ordeal to her husband who confronted the boy, following which the teenager shared the video in several WhatsApp groups, the SHO said.

Thereafter, the woman lodged a complaint against the teenager, on the basis of which an FIR was registered against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and he was taken into custody on Saturday.

Tamil Nadu techie held for secretly filming women in shopping malls

Meanwhile, in a similar back in July this year, a 22-year-old engineering graduate from Tamil Nadu’s Erode was arrested by the cybercrime wing of the Greater Chennai police for secretly filming women in shopping malls and selling morphed images on the messaging service Telegram.

As per the police, the matter came to light following a complaint by a purported victim from Adambakkam, who stated that someone secretly clicked her picture while she was trying out an outfit in  a mall in 2022 ahead of Diwali.

The complainant told the police that she later found out that her morphed pictures were being sold on Telegram.  Following the complaint, the police registered a case and launched an investigation. The cops scanned CCTV footage and other evidence which led to the arrested of the accused, identified as Arya, from his home in Erode’s Sathyamangalam.

According to the police, Arya secretly clicked pictures and filmed women at shopping malls, supermarkets and other commercial centres. The accused would later morph these images into obscene content and sell them on Telegram as password protected zip files.

Wildlife SOS has to date managed to help over 50 elephants. These individuals are rescued from horrific instances of abuse, cruelty, and physical and mental torture. Even after rehabilitation, these elephants remain dependent on humans for their day-to-day survival.

The NGO operates three rescue and treatment facilities dedicated to the care of elephants in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Wildlife SOS’ journey started with its first elephant rescue in 2010 and today the three centres are home to over 30 elephants. Some of the elephants such as Nina, Bhola, Holly and Suzy are geriatric or old elephants who require specialised veterinary attention.

At over 70 years old, Suzy is the oldest elephant at the Wildlife SOS Elephant Conservation and Care Centre in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. She suffers from a complete loss of vision in both eyes and is devoid of molars. To take care of these health issues, the elephant caregivers accompany Suzy in her walks to clear the path for any pebbles or obstacles. The veterinary team provides only softened fruits in the form of a paste or ‘smoothie’ for Suzy’s seamless consumption.

Aged nearly 60 years, Bhola is an old male elephant who suffers from loss of sight and a serious tail injury. Being mindful of his safety, the layout and arrangement of Bhola’s enclosure is never altered. The enclosure is devoid of any sharp edges, and soft cushioning is added to the girders to ensure he does not bump and injure himself accidentally. Nina is a 60-year-old elderly female elephant who suffers from arthritis and ankylosis on her limbs. She is also completely blind, which was likely a result of being stabbed in the eyes by a bullhook.

Dr. S. Ilayaraja, Deputy Director- Veterinary Services, Wildlife SOS said, “The veterinary team meticulously provides laser therapy massages to combat the joint related problems that provide ample relief to Nina. Additionally, oral medication for pain management, multivitamin supplements and liver tonic, along with a healthy and nutritious diet keep Nina’s health recovery on track.”

Kartick Satyanarayan, Co-founder and CEO, Wildlife SOS said, “Like Nina, the geriatric elephants under our care were frail, malnourished or injured when we rescued them. Having spent considerable time under our care, their past selves are a mere shadow of their current condition. On World Elephant Day, we want to emphasize what good quality veterinary care can achieve in improving the lives of commercially exploited elephants. We wish to achieve a future where elephants on the streets can be a thing of the past.”

Geeta Seshamani, Co-founder and Secretary, Wildlife SOS said, “In order to treat injured, sick and geriatric elephants, Wildlife SOS established India’s first Elephant hospital in Mathura in November 2018. Coincidentally, one of the older elephants, Holly, who is over 60 years old, was the first to receive treatment at the hospital. Facilities such as laser therapy and hydrotherapy have helped immensely in improving her arthritic legs.”

Today there are estimated to be over 2,600 captive elephants in India and providing assistance requires vast resources. In light of this tragic situation, Wildlife SOS has launched a petition to urge and request the government to take strict action to protect all captive elephants in India, through required bi-annual inspections and veterinary certificates of health.

The audacious robbery was captured on CCTV cameras in and outside the bank and the footage has now gone viral on social media platforms. The security footage showed the armed robbers arriving at the Bank of Maharashtra branch on two motorcycles. They are wearing helmets, apparently in a bid to escape identification.

Once inside the bank, the attackers pull out their handguns and point them at the bank staff and the customers. The robbers can be seen instructing the cashiers to dump the cash on their counters into their bags.

Some of the burglars then herd the bank employees and customers into a room while one of them, wearing a pink shirt is seen searching for money on the cash counters with a gun in his hand as a bank staffer passively watches on.

Later, one robber, with his face covered with a scarf, put the money in his bag and makes his exit from the bank once the bag is full.

The robbery lasted for a little over five minutes during which the five robbers, who have not been identified yet, decamped with nearly Rs 14 lakh in cash from the bank. The assailants kept the staff and customers locked in a backroom at the bank during the course of the bold heist, police said.

A senior official of the Surat Police said the cops received information about the robbery and immediately arrived at the scene.

A red-alert has been issued in the area and the police are conducting searches across the Gujarat capital to nab the robbers. Police said nearby CCTV cameras and other electronic means are being scanned to track down the five burglars.

The wild animal was first spotted in Karimnagar’s Sripuram Colony on Friday night and was captured on the nearby security cameras.

The latest sighting of the the wild bear was reported on Saturday morning when it was reportedly seen in Rekurthi area. The beast’s movements were once again captured on film as locals filmed the animal running and snooping around on the streets in the area.

A video doing the rounds on social media shows a man wielding a stick and running after the animal while others can be heard yelling at it in a bid to scare the beast away. The bear can be seen passing through a street as shocked residents look on and capture its antics on their mobile phone cameras. The bear then makes a brief stop near an autorickshaw before running into a residential area.

Local media reports said the bear has been captured by forests department officials who set up traps in the area after bear sightings were reported. They said the officials subdued the beast by shooting it with tranquilizers.

Viral animals

Talking about viral videos of animals, last month, an insane clip from Mysuru showed a large python devouring a cobra whole. As per reports at the time, this otherworldly occurrence which is usually witnessed in the wild, happened in Karnataka’s Mysuru and was caught on camera by stunned locals.

Another video, also from Mysuru, a snake was seen crawling in a piece of cloth in Daddahalli area while yet another clip shows a cobra swallowing a slipper in JP Nagar area of Mysuru.

In another incident, this time from Gujarat, a lion was seen casually taking a stroll on a flyover in Junagadh area of the state even as vehicles pass by.

Gadar 2 is directed by Anil Sharma and also stars Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in the lead. The film is a romantic-action drama set during the Partition. Monsoon Mayhem

234 people have died so far in rain-related incidents and road accidents in Himachal Pradesh since the onset of the monsoon. The Himalayan state has suffered losses to the tune of Rs 6,742 crore, according to the emergency centre. About 160 roads are still closed in the state.

The local meteorological office has issued a yellow warning for heavy rains from Thursday to Sunday. It has predicted a wet spell in the region till August 15 and also cautioned of landslides, flash floods, mudslides and an increase in water flow in rivers and nullahs.

Minor among 2 dead in cloudburst

Ayesha and her family were walking behind two cows when one of them turned aggressive. It was her brother’s sudden noise that apparently agitated the cow. The cow swiftly turned back and struck Ayesha, lifting her and hurling her onto the road.

The locals rushed to the scene, managing to drive the cow away after several attempts. Ayesha was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she received prompt medical attention. Her condition was later reported to be stable, alleviating concerns about her well-being.

According to the reports, the Cows have been impounded by the Chennai corporation officials and are planning to strengthen measures to prevent such incidents, including levying fines on owners of carelessly wandering cattle.

An FIR has been registered against the owner of the attacking cows.

On Thursday, Seema Haider auditioned for the movie titled ‘Karachi to Noida’. ‘Karachi to Noida’

According to reports, auditions for ‘Karachi to Noida’—which details the heartwarming cross-border love affair of Seema Haider and Sachin Meena—are being held across the country.

The movie is being made under the banner of Jani Firefox Production House. The production house shared a video of the audition on social media showing actors being auditioned for various roles in the upcoming film being produced by filmmaker Amit Jani.

Amit Jani, a Meerut-based film producer, recently met Seema Haider at her home and offered her the lead role in his upcoming film based on her unique love story. Talking to newsmen, Seema expressed her desire to work in movies after being given a clean chit by the Uttar Pradesh ATS. Seema Haider has been offered to play the role of RAW agent in the film.

Producer receives death threat

Meanwhile, Amit Jani has claimed that he received a death threat from Bajrang Dal leader Monu Manesar. In his complaint to the police in Noida as well as Meerut, Jani claimed that Monu Manesar aka Mohit Yadav, threatened him on WhatsApp call for casting Seema Haider, a Pakistani, in his upcoming film.

Seema Ghulam Haider, a Pakistani woman who was married to Ghulam Haider and mother of four kids, met Sachin Meena—a Uttar Pradesh resident— in 2019 while playing popular shooter PUBG. Over time, the duo became friends and fell in love and earlier this year, Seema Haider entered illegally into India via Nepal along with her four children to be with her lover.

Sachin and Seema reportedly got married at a temple in Nepal. Currently, the cross-border lovebirds are living happily together at Sachin’s Greater Noida home.

Seema and Anju- Cross-border affairs

Seema Haider’s story shares eerie similarities with that of Anju, an 35-year-old Indian mother of two, who recently travelled legally to Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to marry her lover, Nasrullah (29), whom she befriended and fell in love on social media site Facebook in 2019.

Anju (34) was born in Kailor village in Uttar Pradesh and lived in Alwar district of Rajasthan. She and Pakistani national Nasrulla (29) became friends on Facebook in 2019.

Last month, reports emerged that Anju had converted to Islam, taken the name Fatima, and married Nasrullah.

Last week, Arvind, Anju’s husband in India, filed a complaint against his runaway wife on the grounds that the couple are not divorced yet and hence cannot marry her Pakistani boyfriend.

Not The First Video

Back in May, a video became very popular on social media. It showed a woman hitting a police officer at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. This happened when fans had come to watch the final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. However, the match got delayed to Monday due to heavy rain. We don’t know why the woman did this.

As it is evident prima facie, the “terrorist attack” and “making hostage the devotees” were part of a mock drill conducted by the police who revealed that the “terrorists” were part of a mock drill being conducted by police and the person who got slapped was a police officer.

The man who yelled at and slapped the “terrorist” has been identified as 35-year-old Prashant Kulkarni.

It is being reported that the sudden arrival of the “terrorists” scared the devotees and a few children, including Prashant Kulkarni’s own daughter began to cry. This angered him and he sprinted towards the “terrorist”, shouted at him, tried to twist his arm, and then slapped him hard.

The Police officials immediately rushed to the spot and defused the situation.

Reptile ecologist Aviad Bar from the Nature and Parks Authority visited the park and determined that the snake, a non-venomous black whip snake, had attempted to consume the porcupine.

“From an analysis of the situation, it can be assumed that the snake tried to devour the porcupine and as soon as it decided to abandon its unusual meal, it realized the magnitude of its mistake,” the Jerusalem Post quoted Aviad Bar.

Bar further stated that the porcupine’s quills did not allow the giant reptile to spit out the animal.

“The one-way direction of the porcupine’s quills did not allow the snake to spit out the porcupine and in the end both the porcupine and the snake met their deaths in the tragic encounter.”

It is worth noting that Israel is home to three species of porcupines and the diet of the animal includes small mammals, insects, birds, and reptiles – including snakes.

Snakes – The misunderstood creatures

According to the English Nature and Parks Authority, the black whip snake is a common snake in Israel. It’s also the longest non-venomous reptile there. Because it’s not venomous, it’s helpful in controlling the rodent population.

Israel is home to about 41 snake species, and most of them aren’t harmful to humans. Only nine species are venomous. Venomous snakes use their venom to catch prey and defend themselves, while non-venomous snakes either swallow their prey whole or squeeze them to death.

Despite some negative perceptions, snakes play an important role in their ecosystems. They help maintain balance and control pests like rodents. Snakes and porcupines are protected in Israel. If you come across a distressed animal, you can report it to the Parks and Nature authority by calling *3639, and they’ll take care of it.

Gandhi made his first speech in the Lok Sabha earlier in the day after being reinstated as the MP. During his address and allegedly made a ‘kissing gesture’ towards the house. Notably, the alleged gesture reminded of his famous hug and wink which took place during the last no-confidence motion against the PM Modi government in 2018.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje, along with other women BJP MPs, complained to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla about Gandhi’s ‘objectionable’ gesture within the Lok Sabha. They accused him of disrespecting and insulting the women MPs through his actions.
